I knew Steve by phone for years before we ever met. He would periodically check in with me and share comps on the area where I owned a rental condo (Colonial Village, Arlington, VA). I appreciated his calls out of the blue because he was genuinely being helpful – not sales-y. Fast forward to late-winter 2015: I decided that I wanted to put my condo back on the market. I made a total of one trip back to Arlington from out of state to meet with Steve and shake his hand. A few, short months later my condo was sold. Steve went the extra mile to coordinate with my tenant at the time, contractors to touch up the place, and even getting keys from the property management company I was using.
